Speed

Another work-in-progress (gotta love a new platform, you keep thinking up new ideas!). No idea when it will be finished or hit the App Store, but it will be after the next major release of iPhone OS (think late September). So, it's dead simple, shows you how fast you're going according to the GPS sensor in iPhone 3G. Will test it on the road in a few days and see how accurate the sensor is.

  1. This looks pretty cool, I've noticed the GPS lags though, so with an app like this I assume that its being fixed in the update...

  2. Ah naturally I can't answer that, but yeah the GPS isn't the most accurate around =)

  3. Steven, how about warning tones connected to certain speeds: 25mph, 35mph, 45mph, 60mph, ... this way someone can drive without looking to the speedometer...

  4. Thank you for such a great app. I really like it. I do have a suggestion for possibly future update ($): Track average speed and distance would be a nice addition. Keep up the good work!!!

  5. Hey, I have a small feature request for speed. Is there any way you can display the max speed attained and have a reset button? This is for an RC Car application. I hope to break 100MPH. Of course, I might break parts first.
